Job Details

Mr Price Home is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 and 3 years of retail experience, with management experience being an advantage.

Key Duties

• Motivate and lead a team of store associates, setting clear expectations and fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure outstanding customer service by training and coaching staff in delivering exceptional experiences.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet or exceed sales targets, implement effective sales strategies, and monitor key performance indicators.
• Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock replenishment, while minimizing stock losses and ensuring accurate stock counts.
• Maintain an appealing store layout and product displays to attract and engage customers.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols.
• Support the training and development of team members to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or operational issues efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards, while promoting a culture of safety among staff.
• Assist in generating and analyzing reports on sales, inventory, and other relevant metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to merchandising planning, promotional campaigns, and marketing initiatives.
• Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and maintaining accurate records.
• Oversee store cleanliness, organization, and the overall presentation of the store.
• Collaborate closely with the Store Manager, stepping in when needed and helping to execute their vision for the store.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• 3 Years' experience in retail
• Management experience (advantageous)
• Sales & service management
• Budgeting
• Computer literate
• Communication skills
• Business understanding of retail trade, brand, customer & product
