Contract On-site Kampala, UG

Job Description

The project seeks to strengthen standards, certification readiness, enterprise support, and market development systems within Uganda’s clean cooking sector through targeted private sector assessments and market analysis. While Uganda’s clean cooking market continues to grow, many enterprises still face challenges related to technical capacity, product certification, quality assurance systems, market access, affordability constraints, and business sustainability. In parallel, different forms of subsidies and market support interventions continue to shape the clean cooking sector. However, there remains limited evidence on the effectiveness, risks, and long-term implications of these approaches within Uganda’s context, particularly regarding affordability, market sustainability, private sector growth, and equitable access to clean cooking solutions.
