We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager with proven experience in private estate security management to lead and manage security operations across high-end residential estates. The role is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and well-managed estate environment through effective operational control, risk management, and professional leadership of security teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Minimum 5–8 years’ proven experience in private estate security management (essential), including gated, lifestyle, luxury, or high-end residential estates.
• Demonstrated experience managing integrated estate security operations, including access control, perimeter security, guardhouses, patrol models, CCTV, and visitor management systems.
• Proven experience in managing armed response services and armed security officers, including oversight of deployment, readiness, compliance, and performance within private estate environments.
• Sound working knowledge of PSIRA legislative requirements applicable to armed and unarmed security personnel, including compliance monitoring and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage security operations in resident-sensitive environments, balancing effective risk control with discretion, professionalism, and customer service.
• Experience leading, supervising, and scheduling site-based security teams in accordance with contractual service levels and client requirements.
• Demonstrated understanding of incident management, emergency response, disaster preparedness, and business continuity planning within residential estates.
• Experience managing security service providers and ensuring day-to-day compliance with contractual, legal, and operational requirements.
• Working knowledge of ISO 18788 (Security Operations Management) and alignment to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Ability to operate within the Thorburn Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System, including reporting, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Relevant qualification in Security Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
• PSIRA registration (where applicable).

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification
• Security Management Certificate / Diploma
• PSIRA Grade A certificate
• Valid driver’s license required; own vehicle will be considered an added advantage.
• A Valid Fire Arm Competency Certificate for business purpose (Shotgun, Handgun & Rifle) as added advantage
• A Valid Regulation 21 Certificate as an added advantage
• Tactical Training Certificate as an added advantage
• Formal CIIMS training certificate or recognised intelligence-related qualification.
