Job title: Enrolled Nurse
Responsibilities
- Direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients
- Function under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Responsible for assessment, care, and meeting of patient needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate programmes of care
- Grade 12 matric certificate
- NQF level 3 or 4 nursing qualification
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse
- Compliance with the SANC code for an Enrolled Nurse
- Relevant experience in the Theatre Department
- Thorough knowledge of general and specialised nursing theory and practice
- Accountable for own acts and omissions
- Maintain a therapeutic, clean and safe environment
- Adhere to Netcare medical waste management principles
- Maintain professional conduct and standards
- Keep patient confidentiality
- Enrolled Nurse qualification
- Direct and indirect nursing care
- Support for the education and training of ENA’s
- Patient care according to Scope of Practice
- Infection prevention and standard precautions
- Handover of reports at shift commencement
- Effective communication with patients
- Promotion of patient health and wellbeing
