Drive Finance in a High-Volume, Fast-Moving Industry

POSITION INFO:

In industries where volume, speed, and precision intersect, finance becomes the backbone of every successful transaction. A well-established organisation within the agricultural sector is looking for a Financial Manager to join their head office team in Pretoria.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the full finance function across a group of legal entities, operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, while supporting strategic decision-making at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing financial strategies, controls, and processes
• Overseeing the full accounting function, including journals, reconciliations, and ledger management
• Preparing management accounts, financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Performing variance analysis and providing insights to support decision-making
• Overseeing payroll in collaboration with HR and ensuring statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, SDL, VAT)
• Supporting the implementation and optimisation of ERP systems (e.g. Sage Intacct, People 300)
• Managing audit processes and liaising with auditors, SARS, and stakeholders
• Providing financial advisory support to senior management

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting or related qualification
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• Minimum 3 years’ post-articles experience in a financial role
• Exposure to Sage People 300 advantageous
• Experience with cloud-based ERP systems (e.g. Sage Intacct) beneficial
• Industry exposure within agriculture or auctioneering advantageous

• High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
