Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
  • Ensure food is presented attractively and served according to company standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food service and dining areas.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing service stations, dining areas, and functions.
  • Refill food displays, beverages, and condiments as required.
  • Follow food safety, health, and safety regulations at all times.
  • Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed.
  • Assist with stock rotation and maintaining service area supplies.
  • Ensure a welcoming and professional dining environment for customers.
  • To carry out any reasonable request by management.
  • To report and where possible take action when faced with customer and client complaints or compliments.
  • To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • May be required to assist with any other duties that may be outside scope of responsibility

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • 1 - 2 years working experience in a food service, catering, hospitality, or customer service environment will be advantageous.
  • Culinary qualification would be advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts when required.
