Job Description:
Ensure compliance to customer and regulatory requirements. Understand various food safety and quality standards from customers and regulatory bodies in order to act as the main driver in the implementation and upkeep of these standards. Manage, review and update assigned HACCP studies. Active participation in external audits (understaning of FSSC 22000 requirments, HALAAL, Private Label requirements Conduct internal audits to confirm whether corrective actions have been implemented effectively and raise non-conformance reports for further actioning as may be necessary. Process Improvement (Manufacturing) Support product trials, process audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain process documentation and change controls. Identify training gaps and ensure adherence to food safety standards. GMP & PRP Management Conduct GMP and process audits; track corrective actions. Manage PRPs and ensure compliance with TS 22002. NPD & Problem Solving Support new product trials and development. Conduct experiments and assist in root cause analysis. Food Safety Systems Support Monitor food safety activities, audits, and documentation. Close NCRs and manage complaints. Train staff, report compliance, and support audits. Promote food safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance. Micro & Chemical Testing Manage testing schedules, sampling, and lab submissions. Analyse results, trend data, and address failures (NCRs, retesting). Oversee environmental monitoring and corrective actions. Health & Safety Comply with safety regulations and PPE requirements. Report hazards and incidents; act as NPD Safety Representative.
Qualification Requirements:
- Grade 12 Basic literacy and numeracy N3 – N6 (Mechanical and/or Electrical) - Desirable
Experience Requirements:
- 2-year Experience in the same roles/positions - Essential FMCG/Production experience - 2-3 Years – Essential
Skills and Competencies:
- Communication- written & verbal Compliance requirements Computer literacy Negotiation Planning & Organising Problem solving Time Basic literacy and numeracy FMCG environment in production planning role 5 years
Working Conditions:
- Extra work hours required at month end, financial year-end and at management discretion. Pressurised environment Understanding of Food Safety Management, Quality Management Systems and Food Manufacturing Processes
