Job Description

Job Purpose To package finished product according to quality specification while achieving operational throughput requirements within a food safe and hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pack finished product on an various Extrusion machines
  • Reach production target per shift
  • Ensure continuous quality monitoring and recording of results
  • Ensure food safe and hygienic work area is maintained at all times
  • Report all production downtime to supervisor/manager timeously
  • Record and analyses downtime reasons. Deep cleaning of machine and area.
  • Random tasks requested by HOD
  • Invocom™ participation and facilitation

Qualification Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12

Experience Requirements

  • 1 year milling industry experience
  • 6 months - 1 years’ experience as a stacker

Skills and Competencies

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Planning, organising and controlling
  • Accuracy and high level of attention to detail
  • Problem solving
  • Numerical ability

Working Conditions

  • Milling environment – hot and noisy
  • Required to work outside of normal working hours (after hours and over time)
  • Working with and on heavy equipment and plant (mechanical and electrical)
  • Working Shift
