The School of Clinical Medicine invites applications for 12 Clinical Educator posts to support the Earlier Clinical Exposure Project for 4th year medical students (GEMP 2). These posts will support student learning in clinical settings across participating departments and sites. The project includes 12 clinical educator posts at 50% appointment to support supervision, coordination and educational quality at central and the extended academic platform sites.

Main Responsibilities

  • Teach and supervise GEMP 2 students in clinical settings.
  • Support student integration, coordination and orientation at clinical training sites.
  • Contribute to monitoring, feedback and educational quality improvement across sites.
  • Liaison between the Unit for Undergraduate Medical Education (UUME) and the faculty on the clinical platform.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current registration with the HPCSA as a doctor.
  • MBBCH or relevant degree

Advantageous

  • Experience in undergraduate clinical teaching or supervision
  • Experience in workplace-based learning, distributed clinical training, or curriculum implementation
