Purpose of the job
The Liquor Supervisor manages the department to ensure maximum sales and promotions. Ensure compliance to standards, regulations and sets plans to achieve targets/deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Current Liquor and wine experience and knowledge.
- Product knowledge on liquor and wine
Competencies
- Ability to lead, organise and manage others.
- Ability to pass the Supervisor numeracy test.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be assertive.
- Must be customer minded.
- Must be able to identify / prioritise urgent matters and attend to them immediately and with a sense of urgency.
- Must be a team player.
Location: Local Golding on Main
Key Responsibilities
Place liquor orders.
Manage frontline activities in the Liquor Store – Supervise tills.
Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards are maintained.
Ensure that security procedures are adhered to.
Approach and advise customers in a businesslike manner.
Prevent wastage / shrinkage / damages.
Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
Manage employees to ensure standards are maintained by competent, motivated employees.
Ensure that all administration is completed accurately and timeously.
Opening and locking procedures.
