Position Overview:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will lead the day-to-day monitoring, evaluation, data management, reporting, and information-use activities under the TB Outreach Project leveraging the Mobile Screening Unit and other related projects implemented at Koidu Government Hospital (KGH). Reporting to the Health Statistics Manager, he/she will be responsible for coordinating routine data collection, data management, analysis, reporting, and continuous quality improvement processes to ensure the availability of accurate, timely, complete, and high-quality data for program management, donor reporting, clinical decision-making, and health system strengthening. The M&E Officer will work closely with service providers, including clinical team working on the mobile TB screening unit to strengthen routine data collection practices and promote the use of quality data as an integral component of service delivery. The role will also support the design, implementation, and monitoring of data quality improvement initiatives, performance monitoring systems, and operational research activities aimed at generating evidence to inform programmatic and clinical decision-making. In addition, the M&E Officer will ensure that referral data between the mobile TB screening unit, health facilities and community is well tracked along the TB continuum of care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with clinical team working on the mobile TB screening unit to capture and report on the TB screening and diagnosis data to track the progress in TB outreach activities using the electronic system thus TB Hunter.
- Routinely validate the data captured to ensure that it is of good quality and provide feedback to the service providers for data quality compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical and community team to track referrals and ensure that TB treatment outcomes for the TB clients screened using the mobile TB screening unit are evaluated and documented.
- Provide feedback to the SHIS Management on data monitoring and evaluation strategies and activities;
- Implement data quality assurance activities to ensure that good data quality standards are upheld.
- Disseminate the data insights of the mobile TB screening unit to various stakeholders using the TB Hunter system.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination with partners and clinical staff, preparation of program reports for donors, and other activities.
- Support the revision and development of the M&E tools for the project.
- Work closely with the SHIS and the clinical teams to identify areas of quality improvement and research.
- Support clinical, operations meetings and other meetings through evidence-based data by developing and presenting data for program performance tracking
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key counterparts in partner organizations, including government of Sierra Leone, other non-profit organizations, and community leaders.

- Academic qualification
- Diploma required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
