Job Summary

Lead the General Merchandise department to deliver strong sales, excellent product availability, and an outstanding customer experience through effective stock management, merchandising, and team leadership.

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12

2 – 4 years' retail experience

Managerial experience advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Merchandise Management

Ensure effective merchandising, stock availability, and product presentation

Execute promotions and maintain merchandising standards

Sales & Promotions

Drive sales performance and achieve departmental targets

Coordinate and execute promotional activities

Finance & Administration

Monitor and control departmental expenses

Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative processes

Operations & Maintenance

Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the department

Maintain equipment and store standards

Shrinkage & Security

Monitor and control stock losses and shrinkage

Ensure adherence to security procedures

Customer Service Management

Deliver and maintain excellent customer service standards

Resolve customer queries and complaints effectively

People Management & Development

Lead, coach, and develop team members

Manage performance and support staff development
