Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of bakery production and packaging equipment through effective maintenance, fault-finding, and repair. The incumbent will be expected to work independently, take full ownership of assigned maintenance tasks, and respond rapidly and effectively to breakdown situations to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance equipment.
• Conduct fault-finding on mechanical and electrical systems
• Plant and system upgrades / Project management.
• Minimise production downtime through effective troubleshooting and repairs
• Rapid response to break downs.
• Audits (food safety, health & safety, and stock control).
• Install, modify, and commission plant equipment as required.

Matric

Relevant Trade qualification

Registered Millwright (Dept. of Labour) (Red Seal)

Experience Requirements

Minimum 5–8 years' post-qualification experience in an FMCG environment working as an appointed millwright.

Working Conditions

Working in a factory environment – hot, noisy and physical. Required to work shifts, overtime, unusual working hours (after hours, weekends and public holidays).
