Job Description
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) is a department of the Government of South Africa. It is responsible for the conduct of the foreign relations of the Republic of South Africa and for promoting and protecting the country's interests abroad. The department is headed by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, who is appointed by the President of South Africa. The department has a number of directorates, including the Directorate for International Cooperation, the Directorate for International Trade and Investment, and the Directorate for International Security. The department also has a number of offices abroad, including embassies, high commissions, and consulates.
