Reconciliation Accountant (Fixed Term Contract)

<p><em><strong>Purpose of the Job:</strong></em></p><p>Perform bank reconciliations by ensuring that reconciling items are followed up on and resolved on time thereby ensuring accurate financial records enabling informed business decisions</p><p></p><p><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</strong></p><p><em><strong>Perform Reconciliations</strong></em></p><ul><li>Ensure that bank reconciliations are performed monthly and that reconciling items are followed up on and resolved enabling accurate accounting records</li></ul><p></p><p><em><strong>Perform Month End &amp; Year End Activities</strong></em></p><ul><li>Ensure that the month end and year end activities and processes are followed, and deadlines are met enabling a smooth period end close and audit process.</li></ul><p></p><p><em><strong>Accounting Activities</strong></em></p><ul><li>Ensure that all accounting journal entries are processed timeously and accurately.</li><li>Ensure daily bank accounting activities are timeously captured, reconciled and cleared.</li></ul><p></p><p><em><strong>ACB Monitoring</strong></em></p><ul><li>Monitoring daily collections, ensuring all collections are actioned and follow up with stakeholder</li></ul><p></p><p><em><strong>Query Logging &amp; Resolution</strong></em></p><ul><li>Ensuring that all queries are logged and resolved within the set SLA</li></ul><p></p>
