Regional Manager

About the role:

Step into a high-impact leadership role as a Regional Manager, where you will take full ownership of the performance, compliance, and operations of Medirite Instore Dispensaries and Medirite Plus Stores across your region. In this role, you’ll drive regional success by executing strategic operational plans, leading high-performing teams, and embedding a culture of excellence across all stores. You will be accountable for delivering strong financial results, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, and proactively managing risk through strict adherence to policies and procedures. Working closely with the Senior Regional Manager, you will lead and develop Area Managers, ensuring alignment, capability, and performance across the region. What you'll do:

• Lead and oversee the overall performance, compliance, and operational excellence of Medirite Instore Dispensaries and Medirite Plus Stores within the designated region.
• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to drive regional growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage, mentor and develop Area Managers to ensure alignment with company goals, enhance team capability, and optimise performance.
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
• Monitor financial and operational reports regularly, analysing trends and implementing corrective actions to improve store performance.
• Drive a culture of high performance, quality service, and operational discipline across all retail outlets.
• Collaborate effectively with senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to support regional initiatives and store openings.
• Manage resources efficiently, including budgeting, staffing, and inventory control, to achieve operational objectives.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities and implementing best practices in retail pharmacy management.
• Maintain a valid driver's licence and commit to regular travel within the region to provide hands-on leadership and support.

What you bring:

• Qualification: BPharm degree or equivalent pharmaceutical qualification
• Experience: Current registration as a Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council +7 years' experience in operational pharmacy management, including regional, area or multi-site leadership accountability
• Demonstrated experience leading pharmacy operational performance, compliance, people and stakeholder relationships
• Experience analysing financial and operational reports and implementing corrective action
• Experience in retail pharmacy, Medirite operations, new-store openings or multi-format retail operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and working knowledge of relevant pharmacy, retail, workforce and reporting systems
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently within the allocated region
