Job Description

The user wants me to format a job description as clean semantic HTML. Let me carefully go through the text and extract the job information, removing any non-job content like navigation, social sharing, etc. Let me identify the key sections: 1. Location: Kenya or nigeria 2. Position Status: Full Time, National 3. Salary Level: National 4. Risk Level: Level 3 5. TL;DR section - this is a summary, I should keep it 6. About Prosper Global 7. About the Jobtech Alliance and DAWN 8. Position Summary 9. Essential Responsibilities 10. Key Responsibilities (with sub-sections) 11. Safeguarding Responsibilities 12. Supervisory Responsibility I need to preserve all original content word-for-word. Let me structure this properly with h4 for section headers, ul/li for lists, and p for paragraphs. Let me go through this carefully and build the HTML. Looking at the structure: - "About Prosper Global" - this is context about the organization, not strictly the job itself, but it's part of the job description so I should keep it - "About Prosper Global, the Jobtech Alliance and DAWN" - same - Position Summary - Essential Responsibilities - Key Responsibilities (with sub-sections: RESEARCH AND INSIGHTS STRATEGY- 25%, CONDUCTING RESEARCH AND OVERSEEING RESEARCH OUTPUTS - 50%, SHAPE DISSEMENTATION AND INFLUENCE - 25%) - Safeguarding Responsibilities - Supervisory Responsibility Wait, the user said to REMOVE category labels that aren't part of the job (e.g., "Internships" as a standalone line). But these are all part of the job description content, so I should keep them. Also need to remove: - Social sharing text - Author bylines - Navigation text - Comments sections - Advertisements - Cookie/subscription notices - Duplicate text Let me check if there's anything to remove... The text seems clean already - no obvious social sharing, navigation, etc. The "TL;DR" section is a summary which I should keep. Let me also check for the closing date / deadline - I don't see one explicitly mentioned in the text provided. Let me build the HTML now. I need to be careful about: - Using

for introductory paragraphs - Using

for section headers - Using
  • for lists - No CSS classes, no inline styles, no
    s, no
    tags - Preserve ALL original content word-for-word Let me go through the text paragraph by paragraph: 1. Location: Kenya or nigeria →

    Supervisory Responsibility

    Wait, looking at the instructions again: "Use

    for section headers (e.g. Responsibilities, Qualifications, Requirements, Education, Experience, Skills, How to Apply, Key Duties, About the Role)" So I should use h4 for these section headers. But what about the sub-sections like "RESEARCH AND INSIGHTS STRATEGY - 25%"? Those are also section headers within the responsibilities. I think I should use h4 for those too since they're section headers. Actually, let me re-read: "Use

    for section headers (e.g. Responsibilities, Qualifications, Requirements, Education, Experience, Skills, How to Apply, Key Duties, About the Role)" These are examples of section headers. The sub-sections like "RESEARCH AND INSIGHTS STRATEGY - 25%" are also section headers, so they should be h4 too. But wait, the instruction says "e.g." which means these are just examples. So I should use h4 for all section headers including the sub-sections. Actually, looking more carefully, the sub-sections have bold text with percentages. These are clearly section headers too. I'll use h4 for them. Let me also note: the user said "No CSS classes, no inline styles, no
    s, no
    tags". So I need to strip all the style attributes from the original text. Let me now construct the full HTML. I need to be very careful to preserve all original content word-for-word. Let me trace through the text again carefully: Paragraph 1: "Location: Kenya or nigeria" Paragraph 2: "Position Status: Full Time, National" Paragraph 3: "Salary Level: National" Paragraph 4: "Risk Level: Level 3: Frequent contact with participants, direct contact with children, access to sensitive data, and/or high level of accountability." Paragraph 5: "TL;DR" followed by empty span Paragraph 6: "If you want to shape the future of work in Africa, there is no role that will put you closer to the centre of the sector's learning-for-action agenda" Paragraph 7: "About Prosper Global" (bold) Paragraph 8: Description of Prosper Global Paragraph 9: "About Prosper Global, the Jobtech Alliance and DAWN" (bold, 18pt) Paragraph 10: Description of Jobtech Alliance and DAWN Paragraph 11: Description of DAWN Paragraph 12: "Position Summary" (bold, 18pt) Paragraph 13: Description of position summary Paragraph 14: More description Paragraph 15: "Essential Responsibilities" (bold, 14pt) Paragraph 16: Intro paragraph List 1: 5 items Paragraph after list List 2: 4 items Paragraph after list Paragraph 17: "Key Responsibilities" (bold, 14pt) Paragraph 18: "RESEARCH AND INSIGHTS STRATEGY - 25%" (bold, 14pt) List 3: 5 items Paragraph 19: "CONDUCTING RESEARCH AND OVERSEEING RESEARCH OUTPUTS - 50%" (bold, 14pt) List 4: 5 items Paragraph 20: "SHAPE DISSEMENTATION AND INFLUENCE - 25%" (bold, 14pt) List 5: 7 items Paragraph 21: "Safeguarding Responsibilities" (bold, 14pt) List 6: 3 items Paragraph 22: "Supervisory Responsibility" (bold, 14pt) Now let me write the HTML. I need to be careful about: - Removing all style attributes - Preserving all text content - Using proper semantic tags For the lists, I need to include the text inside
  • ...

  • or just
  • ...
  • . Looking at the original, each list item has a

    inside it. But the instruction says "Use

    • for list items (duties, requirements, qualifications, skills)". It doesn't specify whether to use

      inside

    • . Since the original has

      inside

    • , and the instruction says to use

      for paragraphs, I think I should keep the

      inside

    • for consistency with the original structure. Actually wait, let me re-read: "Use

      for introductory paragraphs and general text" and "Use

      • for list items (duties, requirements, qualifications, skills)". The list items contain text that could be considered "general text" or "introductory paragraphs". But since they're list items, I think using
      • with

        inside is appropriate to preserve the original structure. Hmm, but actually the instruction says "No
        tags" and "No CSS classes, no inline styles". It doesn't say I can't use

        inside

      • . Let me keep the

        inside

      • to preserve the original structure. Actually, looking at the original more carefully, some list items have

        tags inside them, and some don't. Let me just use

      • with the text directly, or
      • text

      • where appropriate. Let me look at the first list: ```html
        • Access to the highest-potential jobtech startups across the continent working to make their business models more scalable and inclusive

        • ...
        ``` Yes, each list item has a
        inside. I'll keep that structure. Now let me write out the full HTML. I need to be very careful about preserving all text exactly. Let me also handle the "TL;DR" section. It says: ``` TL;DR ``` This is just "TL;DR" followed by a space. I'll wrap this in a
        tag. And the next paragraph: ```
        If you want to shape the future of work in Africa, there is no role that will put you closer to the centre of the sector's learning-for-action agenda.
        ``` This is the TL;DR content. I'll keep it as a

        . Now, for the "About Prosper Global" section, it's a heading followed by a paragraph. I'll use

        for the heading and

        for the paragraph. Let me also handle the links. The original has: ```html Jobtech Alliance ``` and ```html jobtech ``` Since I can't use inline styles, I'll just keep the link text without the span styling. The link itself should be preserved. OK let me now write the complete HTML. I'll go through each piece carefully. Actually, I realize I should double-check - the user said "REMOVE all of the following" including things like "Social sharing text", "Author bylines", etc. Looking at the text, I don't see any of those things explicitly. The text seems to be a clean job description already. Let me also check for "You may also like" / related posts - not present. Navigation text - not present. Comments sections - not present. Advertisements - not present. Cookie/subscription notices - not present. Duplicate text - not present. Category labels - not present as standalone lines. OK, so I just need to format the existing text as clean HTML. Let me now write the final HTML: ```html

        Location: Kenya or nigeria

        Position Status: Full Time, National

        Salary Level: National

        Risk Level: Level 3: Frequent contact with participants, direct contact with children, access to sensitive data, and/or high level of accountability.

        TL;DR

        If you want to shape the future of work in Africa, there is no role that will put you closer to the centre of the sector's learning-for-action agenda

        About Prosper Global

        Barely enough is not enough for anyone. Prosper Global is a humanitarian organization working alongside communities facing conflict, climate change, and economic hardship to meet urgent needs and create the conditions for lasting progress. Today's challenges demand new solutions, so we pair local knowledge with global resources to help communities build what's needed, test what's possible, and scale what's proven so that people everywhere can pursue a full life on their own terms. In 2026, we changed our name from Mercy Corps to Prosper Global, to reflect our belief that when every community can prosper, all of humanity moves forward.

        About Prosper Global, the Jobtech Alliance and DAWN

        Prosper Global (formerly Mercy Corps) is a global humanitarian organization working in over 40 countries at the front lines of today's biggest crises. Prosper Global has built a reputation for innovative economic development programming, particularly working with start-ups, and hosts a venture capital arm called Prosper Global Ventures.

        In late 2021, Prosper Global launched the Jobtech Alliance, a Pan-African ecosystem-building initiative around inclusive jobtech in Africa. The Jobtech Alliance has a portfolio of grants for acceleration activities with jobtech startups, and wider ecosystem building. We learn by doing, conduct research to better understand what makes these innovations work (or not), and explore emerging themes to help define and guide the sector.

        Digital Advancement for Women Now (DAWN) is a four-year project in Nigeria, funded by the Mastercard Foundation and implemented within the Jobtech Alliance. It enables underserved young people, with particular focus on young women, alongside refugees and displaced people and persons with disabilities, to access safe, inclusive and dignified work through jobtech platforms.

        As the Jobtech Alliance Research & Insights Director, you will lead the insight generation, research and learning strategy and its implementation at the Jobtech Alliance, including on the DAWN project. You collaborate with different teams to draw insights from our ecosystem and acceleration activities and craft our learning-for-action plan, oversee research, with a particular focus on young women. You will work with ecosystem team members to coordinate our dissemination and advocacy plans to ensure our research outputs spur action across the entire jobtech ecosystem, and translate to impactful outcomes for young people.

        We operate as a 'do-tank' rather than a 'think-tank' - our insights need to be operationally impactful. You will often have a role in moving research into practice, as well as vice-versa. You will be traveling up to 20% of the time across the continent, including regularly within Nigeria.
