Retail Credit Controller (Fixed Term Contract) (Maternity Cover)

Purpose of the job

Manage end-to-end process of Accounts Receivable, maintaining credit control systems and processes, improving the cashflow position of the company through improving the collection process and managing the risk associated with granting credit

Responsibilities

• Ensure transparent and clear query resolution and collection process by driving root cause analysis and set-up necessary corrective/ counter measurements
• Drive operational performance and manage portfolio ensuring processes efficiently carried out and standards maintained
• Managing a transparent and clear collection process and maintaining records of proactive collections activities
• Ensure that all customer statements are accurate and reconciled by conducting rigorous checks on all related documentation
• Foster sound working relations with internal and external customers
• Manage process for escalating risks where appropriate in a timely manner
• Operate within credit risk framework, policies and procedures and maintain records of internal controls
• Ensure that relevant reports are submitted as and when required on AR portfolio view of credit and collection activity, risk overview, query status, shifts in risk profiles, payment patterns and other developments

Qualifications

• Accounts Receivable management experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in credit risk assessment
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Accounts Receivable
• Understanding of credit management processes
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field

Experience

• Proven track record in managing collections
• Previous exposure to risk management frameworks
