<p>Employee Relations Consultant supports the business by ensuring the fair, consistent, and legally compliant application of disciplinary, grievance, and labour processes. The role is responsible for managing complex ER matters end-to-end, including representation at the CCMA, while providing accurate, risk-based advisory support to operational stakeholders.</p><p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;HR-related or legal qualification; Preferred: Relevant qualification in Law (LLB) or related field (e.g. BCom Law)</p><p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;2–5 years’ experience in Employee Relations / Industrial Relations (Solid experience in the retail industry – advantage)<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong understanding of South African labour legislation and dispute resolution processes (CCMA)<br>Competencies</p><p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to work effectively within a cohesive team environment, contributing to collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistent ER practice across the function</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Skills:<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sound judgement and ability to provide legally defensible ER advice<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex workplace scenarios<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, operational environment<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills across multiple business levels<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;High attention to detail with strong documentation and process discipline<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Adaptable, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities and case loads<br><br>Please ensure your Line Manager is aware &amp; supports your application</p><p>Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.</p><p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provide expert ER advisory support to management on disciplinary, grievance, incapacity, and misconduct processes<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Manage and oversee disciplinary hearings, ensuring procedural and substantive fairness<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Represent the Company at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations, including preparation of case files, bundles, and witnesses<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Drive consistent application of ER policies across the business to mitigate legal and operational risk<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure alignment of ER strategies with business objectives.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Lead the implementation of ER projects.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Deliver ER training and coaching to line management on best practice labour relations<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Keep abreast of employment legislation and case law<br>&nbsp;</p>
