We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store. The successful candidate will ensure smooth operations, drive sales performance, maintain high food safety standards, and lead a motivated team. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all daily store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability
  • Lead, train, schedule, and motivate team members to achieve high performance
  • Ensure outstanding customer service and handle escalated customer queries professionally
  • Monitor and drive sales performance, upselling initiatives, and promotional campaigns
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, stock rotation (FIFO), and minimize wastage
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Control costs including labour, food, and operational expenses
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures, daily cash-ups, and banking
  • Maintain store cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and brand presentation standards
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop staff in line with company values
  • Manage employee performance, discipline, and attendance
  • Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and head office where necessary
  • Analyse sales reports and operational data to inform decision-making
  • Plan staff rosters effectively based on trading patterns and business needs
  • Drive local store marketing initiatives and community engagement
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed accurately and securely
  • Handle audits and ensure the site is always audit-ready
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery and operations

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Relevant qualification
  • Proven experience in a site/store management role (preferably in food retail or hospitality)
