Storeman – HVAC

Job Description

The Storeman is responsible for the efficient management, control, and maintenance of the HVAC warehouse and stock. This role ensures all materials, tools, and equipment are correctly stored, accurately recorded, and readily available for internal use or customer delivery. The Storeman supports the operational team by maintaining stock accuracy, safety, and workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies in an organized manner.
• Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management software (emails, catalogues, spares control).
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Issue stock to technicians and other departments as needed, ensuring proper documentation.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of materials.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance of tools and equipment when required.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement for stock replenishment.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
• Assist with logistics support, including loading and unloading deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Matric / Grade 12 minimum.
• Experience: Previous experience in warehouse management or stock control, preferably in the HVAC or technical industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic HVAC knowledge is an advantage.
• Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office, email communication, and inventory management systems.
• Driver’s License: Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
• Language Skills: Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
• Personal Attributes:
  • Non-smoker.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Physical fitness to handle lifting and warehouse tasks.

Working Conditions

Warehouse environment with some exposure to dust, noise, and moderate physical activity. Standard office hours, with occasional overtime depending on operational needs.
