Advertising Manager
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Advertising & Digital Marketing, the Advertising Manager is responsible for leading the development, execution, and optimisation of integrated marketing communications campaigns that support Toyota and affiliated brands.
The role oversees end-to-end campaign management across traditional, digital, social, dealer, experiential, and emerging media channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand strategy, and commercial priorities. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders, agencies, media partners, and global counterparts to deliver impactful campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales performance.
Key Duties
- Lead the development and execution of integrated 360° marketing campaigns supporting vehicle launches, product enhancements, brand-building initiatives, and retail campaigns.
- Develop communication strategies and marketing plans aligned to brand, product, and commercial objectives.
- Manage agency relationships and provide strategic direction on creative, media, digital, and content development activities.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of advertising and marketing content across ATL, BTL, digital, dealer, and other communication channels.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives, leveraging data, technology, and performance insights to optimise campaign effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Manage campaign budgets, ensure governance compliance, evaluate supplier proposals, and maximise return on marketing investment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Product Planning, Sales, Customer Experience, PR, Finance, and Dealer Network teams, to ensure successful campaign delivery.
- Develop a strong understanding of product offerings, customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity to inform marketing strategies.
- Monitor, measure, and analyse campaign performance, translating insights into actionable recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead campaign approval processes, manage project timelines, and ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Mentor and support team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and marketing excellence.
- Represent the Advertising & Digital Marketing function in cross-functional projects, launch activities, and strategic business discussions.
Qualifications and Experience
- NQF Level 6 (360 credits - level 8 framework) Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management or related discipline
- 5 - 8 years' experience in Advertising, Marketing, Media and Digital Marketing.
- Proven experience managing integrated marketing campaigns from strategy through execution and post-campaign evaluation.
- Experience working with advertising, media, and digital agencies.
- Strong project management experience with multiple concurrent campaigns.
- Experience managing campaign budgets and stakeholder engagement.
