Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Mechanic to join their mining company based in KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing on heavy plant equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults
  • Carry out breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment failures
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards and procedures
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
  • Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet operational requirements
  • Assist with site work and field service activities as required

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • 10 years' experience working on yellow equipment and heavy plant machinery
  • N3 Certificate in Engineering Studies
  • Trade Test preferred
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
  • Basic electrical fault-finding ability
  • Experience in equipment maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Valid Driver's License
