Ensures the accurate receipt of all deliveries to the store and the efficient dispatch of returns to vendors. Manages receiving operations to minimise shrinkage risks at receiving doors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsible for the appropriate disposal of stock in line with company guidelines. Oversees all administrative functions related to receiving processes, including documentation, record keeping, and associated controls such as visitor and merchandiser access management at the receiving area.

Matric Grade 12 1- 2 years receiving supervisor experience required Must be computer literate All Applicants needs to pass the appropriate assessment

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive all store deliveries and ensure the efficient dispatch of returns to vendors.
  • Ensure all deliveries are received in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual.
  • Assist with the offloading of trucks when required.
  • Process all returns, including goods, equipment, and recyclables, in line with SOP requirements.
  • Ensure all receiving deadlines are met as per SOP requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with receiving procedures and areas of responsibility as outlined in the Receiving Checklists.
  • Immediately report any checklist failures or non-compliance to the relevant responsible parties.
  • Complete all required receiving documentation and ensure proper filing as part of end-of-day receiving procedures.
  • Reject stock or deliveries where standards, processes, or company procedures have not been adhered to.
  • Respond to and resolve queries relating to Distribution Centre (DC) claims.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within and around the Receiving Department.
  • Ensure safety standards are strictly followed in relation to receiving activities and the use of equipment.
  • Manage the disposal of stock (including waste) in accordance with company policy and procedures.
