Job Description
The senior accountant will be responsible for the general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. Ensuring the correct, complete, chronological and orderly record of all GL accounting transactions as well as execution of tasks in the area of General Ledger Accounting and Reporting for the company. The senior accountant will also support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.

Minimum Requirements
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
- Provide variance analysis and explanations for financial performance.
- Preparatory activities for providing financial statement notes to support "Business Accounting" (based on a "disclosure checklist").
- Prepare statistical reports from the field of financial accounting for authorities.
- Support the valuation of asset movements (including additions, disposals and transfers).
- Process listed accounting transactions for posting.
- Create evaluations and reports as part of Balance Sheet reporting.
- Complete and accurate ledger and journal processing.
- Completion of General Ledger reconciliations. General Accounting
- Leading general ledger functions and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts.
- Professional handling of special issues in the field of general ledger accounting (e.g. derivatives).
- Ensuring the correct and timely accounting representation of business transactions in the general ledger while maintaining compliance with laws and regulations of Adcorp.
- Process fixed asset transactions.
- Interaction and professional exchange with the relevant operating units (e.g. clarification of complex accounting issues as well as dealing with inquiries).
- Processing of all FA accounting transactions and ensuring that transactions are disclosed accurately, completely, and in chronological and factual order as per IAS / IFRS, and applicable Adcorp guidelines or Business Support Services process descriptions.
- Processing of closing entries and items as to the completeness and accuracy including consistency with relevant policies.
- Execution of regular sample quality checks for available documentation of individual postings.
- Coordinate and support external and internal audit processes.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
- Support financial planning and analysis activities.
- Review and approval as a part of master data maintenance in FA.
- Collaboration with staff from Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in the Group Business Services.
