We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our Business & Industry unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of stock, receiving and issuing goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring that all stores operations support the smooth running of the catering contract. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Ensure all stock is stored correctly and in compliance with food safety and company standards.
  • Issue stock to operational departments according to requisitions and operational requirements.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and assist with monthly stocktakes.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory management systems.
  • Ensure storerooms, freezers, and refrigeration areas are clean, organized, and secure.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation principles.
  • Assist with cost control initiatives by minimizing wastage and stock losses.
  • Adhere to health, safety, food safety, and company policies at all times.

Skills and Competencies

  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and stock management systems.
  • Sound understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Good numerical and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Storekeeper, Stock Controller, or similar role within hospitality, catering, retail, or food service environments.
