We are therefore inviting applications to fill the below vacant positions in the Transport division.

Position Description

This position reports to the Fleet Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods across local and long-distance routes. Ensure timely and safe delivery of cargo to clients or designated destinations. Conduct daily vehicle inspections (before and after trips) and report any faults. Adhere to all road traffic laws and safety regulations in Zambia. Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or loss during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and fuel usage reports. Follow procedures for transporting dangerous goods where applicable. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and supervisors. Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications, knowledge and experience:

Valid Driver’s License (CE or relevant class for heavy-duty trucks). Valid Certificate in Defensive Driving. Valid Silicosis Certificate. Valid Certification in Dangerous Goods Handling. Valid Police Clearance Certificate (no criminal record). Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in truck driving. A valid passport. Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Job Specific Competencies

The successful candidate should possess the following job specific competencies:

Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic laws. Good time management and reliability. Attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work long hours and travel long distances. Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
